One hundred seventy one patients with different types of primary malignant bone tumors younger than 19 years were collected from departments of orthopedic and oncology in Mosul teaching hospital at the period between 1981-2001.
The Ewing's sarcoma was the commonest primary malignant bone tumor (48.5%).
Osteosarcoma was the second primary malignant bone tumor (42%).
In both, age, sex and anatomical distributions were similar to other studies.
Other primary malignant bone tumors were (9.5%).
The patients in the second decade of study were increased similar to increase in population.
