أجريت هذه الدراسة على عدد أربعة و عشرون مريضا الذين أجريت لهم عملية استبدال الصمام الأورطي من خلال عظمة القص.
و تم تقييم استخدام الطريقة المعتادة و هي شق القص كاملا بالطول في أثني عشر مريضا، آما في باقي المرضى فتم استخدام فتحة طولية محدودة في أعلى عظمة القص.
و لقد تبين من الدراسة أن هذه الفتحة المحدودة في عظمة القص هي طريقة جراحية مفيدة.
حيث أنها قللت من وقت استخدام التنفس المناعي للمرضى و قللت من مضاعفات الجرح التنفسية، و كذلك كمية فقدان الدم بعد العملية الجراحية.
كما أنها تقلل من حدوث الألم و تساعد في التأهيل السريع للمرضى بعد الجراحة حيث أنها تزيد من قدرة المريض على عمل التمرينات لوقت أطول مع زيادة قدرة الجسم على استخدام أفضل للأكسجين الموجود في الدم في الدقيقة.
Abstract EN
This study was conducted on 24 patients who underwent aortic valve replacement.
The approach to expose the aortic valve was evaluated.
Half of the patients had standard median sternotomy and the rest had a mini sternotomy incision.
From the study, we believe that mini-sternotomy is a satisfactory approach.
It reduces ventilation time, pulmonary wound complications and blood loss.
It produces less pain and quicker rehabilitation of patients after surgery.
This is represented by improvement in exercise duration, metabolic energy times and maximum ventilatory oxygen uptake.
