Being one of the most important trees in the world Acacia Senegal, the gum Arabic tree warrants intensive research.
One, and basic research area is the taxonomy of the tree.
This is not only needed because it belongs to the large genus of Acacia, but also due to the fact that there is a lot of variation in the inter and intraspecific levels.
The present study gives anote the present classification of the tree, and recommends more joint taxonomical research especially at especially at the varietal level
