Bayesian analysis of hybird censored life tests using asymmetric loss functions

Abstract EN

Bayes estimator of the mean life of the exponential distribution is obtained for hybrid life tests, sampling with replacement, using the modified LINEX loss function.

The efficiency of the estimator is compared with estimators based on some other loss functions through Bayes risk calculations.

The optimal design of the hybrid experiment is considered.

Numerical examples are given to illustrate the theoretical results, possible extensions are discussed for the case where the underlying distribution is the left-truncated exponential.
