English Abstract

The importance of new technologies such as a GIS is increasingly noted in supporting decision making in public health planning and management.

Most of literatures point to examples of GIS use especially in the developing world in areas of such as geography of disease, urban planning as well as public health care.

This project was exemplified this need in the types of information of interest to local epidemiologists.

It includes TB distribution in population, rural / urban variations, delivery of health services, and dissemination of National Tuberculosis Program and general health services.

The contribution of GIS in aiding the decision making process in last year’s is being agreed upon it by most of new applications have been developed.

Is become no doubt that spatial analysis breaks down all awkward details of setting policies and taking proper decisions The main objective of this study is to investigate the efficiency of the GIS technology to model and monitor the performers of the TB health centers in Khartoum state for TB diseases treatment using GIS techniques.

The primary data use in this study is a digital map of Khartoum State and a Softcopy of TB centers data.

The conclusion of this research work was found to be of great usefulness in modeling and representing the TB Health care Centers in the study area, where a GIS model was designed and developed to reflect these activities.

The developed model was found to be able to relocating the closer service areas as well as areas out of services.

This founding was one of the striking contributions of this study.

This is true where decision makers could make use of the model facilities to manage the TB treatment process.

The overlay process offered by GIS was found very useful in selecting suitable sites for new TB health care centers in the study area.
