Abstract EN

Inclusive education is a participatory approach of education of all children in the mainstream environment without any discrimination.

Education aims at making the child confident to face the life with courage and confidence and to be independent in the society.

Vocational education of the children with special needs deserves much importance because most of the disabled become unemployed due to the lack of proper vocational guidance and vocational training.

Vocational education through inclusive schooling is a practical solution for the total rehabilitation of the persons with disabilities.

This is a period of community participatory rehabilitation and education of the handicapped is the responsibility of the society.

In an inclusive society children may get equal opportunities, protection of their rights, full participation and privileges like any other person.

If they complete the study without any vocational training they may become the burden of society if they don’t have any job.

Employment in the open labor market is not easy.

The handicapped should be able to work with the non-disabled.

Placements need more adjustments for the handicapped people.

If proper training is given in vocational education and adjustment is made with the society, the disabled people can perform well in different vocational avenues.

Training through the special institution is an ongoing concept.

However, we cannot train and place all the disabled persons through the special institutions.

There should be facilitation of vocational education with inclusive schooling.

Self employment and community participatory rehabilitation should be initiated and the training programmes must be started according to the level, needs, nature and availability of the nvironment.

In an inclusive society the handicapped students learn to live with their society and once they get vocational training as part of regualr schooling it will lead them to comprehensive rehabilitation.
