As the cornerstone of safe and effective thyroid surgery is proper visualization and anatomical orientation, with the introduction of endoscopic techniques In neck surgery to achieve a better cosmetic results and a better surgical techniques, Miccoli in 1997 develop his approach of MIVAT, we start our own experience following that techniques, but with our own instrumental set ,we start in January 2001,we perform MIVAT operations, we had a better cosmetic results, less intra-operative blood loss, shorter hospital stay, a better surgeon satisfaction due to better visualization and identifications anatomical land marks, we had a longer operative time which is related to the learning curve, we considered MIVAT as a good option for endocrinal neck surgery.
