English Abstract
AlFaw power station located at AlFaw city in Gadarif state .It is connected to national electricity corporation net work.
It is diesel power generation, operated on both heavy fuel and diesel oil.
At 1997 NEC contracted with CMEC from China to provide completed engineering design of two sets of diesel engines consisting of : (a)Two sets of diesel engines with power out put 2 × 6600kw.
(b)Two sets of generators with electrical power out put 2 × 6300kw.
© Complete auxiliary equipments.
And to carry out all civil work inside the boundary fence of the plant except water source .The work has been started at the year of 2002 and completed at 2004.
The plant installation and operation were carried out by CMEC.And the cost of contract is about 10,280,000 dollars.
Raw water supply for cooling purposes is from the following sources.
* Rahad channel.
* Khiary well water.
* Town water.
