Abstract EN

Experiments on releasing water to a natural channel and to an artificial recharge basin were carried out at two recharge dam sites.

These experiments included two of the six alternative management plans selected for the two dam sites.

Data from both types of experiments are presented, and the results are analyzed and discussed.

It was found that the infiltration rate of the released water to the dow'nstream channel or to the downstream spreading basin is higher than the infiltration rate in the reservoir.

The preference between the two types of management plans depends upon the natural condition of the channel and the priority of the decision makers.
