Abstract EN

We present a review of some of the important results obtained during these last few years on Van der Waals complexes.

Their investigation has been done in both theoretical and experimental fields.

Free-jet expansions and cooled long path cells have been used to prepare complexes.

High resolution IR spectroscopic methods (including FTIR, direct absorption using a tunable IR laser such as a diode laser, etc.) have been improved in order to investigate these complexes.

Theoretical models have been developed in order to build potential energy surfaces that reproduce experimental data.

One of the most efficient for small Van der Waals dimers is a two-dimensional approach with an adiabatic separation of angular and radial motions.

Hydrogen halide-rare gas complexes and polyatomic - inert gas complexes spectra have been observed and interpreted.
