This paper presents the mean velocity field for co-swirling co-axial jets mixing in a dump confinement.
The velocity ratio between the outer jet and the inner jet was 1.667.
The velocity measurements were taken with the help of a 3-hole pressure probe operated in null mode.
Measured flow field shows a significant effect of variation of the swirl value in both the jets.
A blown-off reverse flow zone forms on the symmetric axis for certain combinations of swirl value in the two jets
