An alternative method for calculating the flexural stiffness of rein* forced concrete members under short and long term loading is proposed.
This method has been developed and refined based on the integrity and composite action of the cross section to represent its actual behavior that is as realistic as possible, comparison of the results shows good agreement the proposed method and some other welt known methods.
One of the cnclusions shows that flexural stiffness is reduced by about 50% due to creep at the level of the permanent load, Other conclusions will be mentioned later in the text.
