Synthesis and characterization of some oxadiazole and triazole derivatives

A series of N- acyl-2-(3-Indolyi) - 1- ( 2"-thio- I,3,4-oxadiazole-5-yl ) ethyl amine and N - acyl -2- (3, 5-diiodo -4- hydroxy phenyl) -1-(2*- thio -1,3,4- oxadiozole-5- yl ) ethyl amine have been synthesized fkom N -acyl -DL-cx - amino acids .

The methyl and propynyl thio-ethers of these compounds were also prepared.

Another series involve N- acyl-2- (3*- Indolyl)-!-( 3“ thio-4- phenyl-1,2,4- triazole-5-yl) ethyl amine and Nacyl-2- ( 3,5- diiodo-4- hydroxyphenyl )-l-(3“-thio-4- phenyl- 1,2,4- triazole-5- yl) ethyl amine that were also synthesized .

Representative samples of the prepared compounds were characterized from their I.R., mass spectra and elemental analysis,
