Abstract EN

We have calculated the magnetization and the initial susceptibility for a chain structured dilute ferrofluid, when the applied magnetic field is parallel or perpendicular to the chain.

We have found that the Curie temperature in the parallel field case is positive while that in the perpendicular field case is negative, and that the magnitude of the Curie temperature in the first case is twice that in the second case.
