Abstract EN

Because of continuous ecological changes in Wadi Araba and the probable negative effects on its biodiversity, a study was undertaken which had as its objective the determination of faunal composition of the reptilians.

A total of twenty-three species, belonging to eight families (Gekkonidae, Agamidae, Lacertidae, Scincidae, Varanidae, Colu-bridae, Viperidae, and Elapidae) are identified Taxonomic keys to the reptiles of Jordan (except Colubridae) are also given.
