A study of the dielectric dispersion and loss of Hg12single crystal is reported as a function of an applied dc field at different frequencies and temperature, Anomalous behavior of both the dielectric constant and loss tangent under dc biasing is observed.

This is attributed to the bulk characteristics of the crystal
