Abstract EN
This study investigates the concept of an intelligent adaptive land mobile radio system far sharing UHF band spectrum with conventional television signals (P AL, SECAM and NTSC).
The concept introduced aims to implement fest scanning techniques, and slow frequency hopping technique to achieve a high spectrum utilization factor: in the shared frequency band.
The decision of selecting frequency channel is based on weighted received signal level, because actual C/I levels strongly influence the system performance.
The primary design and structrual analysis of the system shows that centralized control approach is preferable.
The results and analysis presented, which are based on simulated radio frequency channels, demonstrated dearly system feasibility.
However, a complete system evaluation in ’real-time1 environment would enhance system capability of an autonomus self-assigning radio frequency channel system.
