The objective of this study was to describe and analyse the status of the teaching practice program at the Faculty of Education.
King Abdulaziz University, AI-Madinah AI-Munawwarah.
It also aimed to determine the merits and demerits of this college program with regard to its purposes.
contents, instructional strategies, teaching methods, evalua-tional devices.
The data for this research were collected through a twenty statement questionnaire about the current teaching practice in the Faculty.
The questionnaire contained four major sections, dealing with: purposes, contents, teaching methods and evaluational aids.
The subjects were asked to rate each statement on Likert Scale (1-3) in regard to its degree of importance.
The subjects of this study consisted of all male and female students (n = 75) who were expected to graduate by the end of the Spring Semester of the Academic Year, 1412, at the Faculty of Education.
Analysis of the data includedfrequency distribution and calculating percentages.
The results of the study revealed many merits and demerits of the current teaching practice program designed for both male and female students at the Science Department of this Faculty.
Recommendations based on the results included several educational implications and useful suggestions which could contribute in the improvement of teaching process with respect to the academic, educational and cultural areas.
