Abstract EN

The primary goal of this research was to describe the career motivations and job satisfaction among Teacher's Colleges faculty in Saudi Arabia.

To get the perceptions and altitudes ofthe fulltime faculty.

the researcher distributed (994) questionnairs to all full-time faculty.

Saudi and non-Saudi with Ph.D.

and Master degrees.

The responses obtained were (605).

representing 61% ofthe total.

This study sought an answer to the question: Are fulltime Teacher's colleges faculty satisfied with their career motivations?" Data proved that the overall satisfaction was good.

Using t-test, the means of intrinsic-extrinsic factors developed by the Herzberge Motiva-tion-Hygiene The ory of job satisfaction were compared to the mean of fa-iult \ \ reported level of overalljob satisfaction.

Nine ofthe tests were significant; Seven showed that the mean level of satisfaction of these factors was lowerthan the overall level ofsatisfaction.

As a re suit of this study.

It has been proved that three ofthe extrinsic variables were intrinsic, and hence either can cause satisfaction or dissatisfaction .

Based upon the findin gs, the author suggested (15) recomm endations for improvement and upgrading facultysatisfaciton.
