Abstract EN

Vehicle ownership level in Jordan has been compared with that in 47 countries.

Cross data for these countries were used to show the ef- fect of the nations' wealth on vehicle ownership.

Growth trend of vehi- cle ownership in Jordan has been described by three types of models.

Findings from the study have shown that, vehicle ownership in Jor- dan is lower than that in the developed countries but higher than that in most of the developing ones.

This vehicle ownership decreases by the increase in the country's population and increases by the increase in Gross Domestic Product/capita.
