Abstract EN
A mangianiferous mineralization, localized in aerial esxteni, occurs 115 km north of Aqaba at Wadi Umm Ghadah.
The mineralization is mainly hosted in the Bedded Arkosic Sandstone Unit and in the monomictie con- glomerate that outcrops in the study area in different depositional shapes and features.
The geochemistry of the mineralization (enriched in Ba, Cu, Mo, Pb, Sr, V.
and Zn) is characteristic of a hydrothermal origin.
Considering such an origin in conjunction with the otitcrop textures, mineralogy and stra- tigraphy of the deposit together with the paleogeomorphology of the region one can conclude that the deposition took place from hydrothermal solutions (possibly hot springs) in shallow marine environment.
