تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى تعين بعض الحالات الدلالية للفعل الإنجليزي ”Hold“ مع المداخل العجمية المختلفة له، و ذلك باستخدام نموذج كوك (Cook) المجدول لقواعد الحالات.
و يتحقق ذلك بشرح المكونات الدلالية و المعجمية للفعل “Hold”.
تبدأ الدراسة بعرض موجز لنظرية قواعد الحالات، و يتبع ذلك شرح لنموذج كوك المجدول.
بعد ذلك يتم تعين الحالات الدلالية للفعل ”Hold“ في بعض معانيه المختلفة (المتعدى و اللازم) وفقا لتصنيف معجم روجيه، و كما هي مذكورة في معجم و بستر الدولي الجديد (الطبعة الثالثة) ثم تحليل هذه المعاني.
Abstract EN
This study deals with assigning some semantic case frames of the verb 'HOLD' with different lexical entries utilizing W.A.
Cook's case grammar matrix model.
This is accomplished through explaining the semantic components as well as the lexical components of the verb 'HOLD'.
A brief statement is given about case grammar followed by an explanation of Cook's matrix model.
Then the case frames of the verb 'HOLD' are assigned to some of its different meanings (Transitive and Intransitive) according to Rogel's Thesaurus classification and as listed in Webster's Third New International Dictionary.
