Abstract EN

This paper is endeavouring to highlight the effort of a number of medieval European scholars in acquiring Arabic knowledge and transmitting it to their peoples.

A slight turn has been made towards both the State of Learning in Western Europe during the early medieval centuries, and the cultural atmosphere in the Muslim World.

Then, it points out the ways of contact between Islamic civilization and the West, which led to admitting Arabic scientific and philosophic learning into Latin Europe.

Also, the study deals with all of the most important translators, the works that they translated, and the effects of their effort on the intellectual life in late medieval Europe.
