This paper defines and describes the various institutions of interest groups in the Jordan political system.

It defines the nature of the groups and describes their organizational structure, electoral process, and their functions as prescribed by the law.

The paper describes and analyzes the roie of interest groups in the Jordan political system.

It also explains the relationship between interest groups and the Executive Authority.

In this respect the paper explains the new political reforms enacted by the government which emphasizes the constitutional rights of citizens in the free expression of opinion and the freedom of establishing and joining political and professional societies
