Abstract EN

Growth of agricultural production is a function of economic reforms and structural changes in the agricultural sector.

The structural changes in the developing countries are very according to the response of economic resources with the macro economic policies.

The study shows, that the Iraqi agricultural sector is content some of land, water, human and capital reseources with different percentages during the last three decads.

Also, the analysis of structural changes shows; an increasing use of intensive fertilyer per Land Unit, and an increasing trend in fixed agricultural capital Labour and land unit.

Moreover there were a rise in the share of agricultural product per unit from fixed capital, while the share of agricultural labour was decling with respcct to Iraqi total employment.

Moreover, a decling trend of Labour intensive per agricultural land unit was noticed during the three decads.

From the analysis we have seen also that, these structural changes in the agricultural sector were due to the responed of macro economic policies, which practiced in the Iraqi economy during the period of the study.
