Abstract EN
-This study examined technological opportunity as a function of selected organizational factors.
To understand why some corporations allocate significantly larger amounts of resources to R&D budgets than others in the same industry or of the same level of technological responsibility, six related hypotheses were tested.
Results indicated that visibilty-related factors such as corporate rank, corporate size and efficiency were negatively associated with technological opportunity, on the other hand, profitability-related factors such as profit margin was found to have positive association with technological opportunity.
In the same time both corporate reputation and competitive uncertainty were found to have positive and highly significant association with technological opportunity.
