Acid dissociation constants of some 2~Methyl-N-(Substituted Phenyl) -4, 5- Dihydrofuran-3- Carboxamide in 50% v/v dioxane-water have been studied, where the substituents at the phenyl group are, H, o-, p-OH; o~, m-CH^; o-, m-NC^ ; p-OCHy, P-NH2; p-COOH; p-Br and o-Cl: The thermodynamic parameters AG\ AIT and AS° were calculated.

Linear Hammett correlation with substituent constant, a, was obtained.
