This paper defines and describes the various institutions of interest groups in the Jordan political system.

It defines the nature of the groups and describes their organizational structure, electoral process, and their functions as prescribed by the law.

The paper describes arid analyzes the role of interest groups in the Jordan political sys¬tem.

it also explains the relationship between interest groups and the Executive Authori¬ty.

In this respect the paper explains the new political reforms enacted by the govern¬ment which emphasizes the constitutional rights of citizens in the free expression of opinion and the freedom of establishing and joining political and professional societies.
