The metaclastics occurring in.

the upper part of Naupordan.

Group in HajOmran-Galala and Sidekan, show that they have been, derived from the rapid erosion and deposition of the Walash and Naupord^ metaclastics as well as from their plutonic root zone.

The clastics were derived from rocks that have suffered ocean-floor metamorphism prior to their erosion and deposition.

This was followed by incipient burial metamorphism that could have been caused either bv the heat flux from the neighbouring voica-nismin Walsh and Naupordan, which wis still active during the erosion and deposition of the elastics* or by the heat accompanying the thrusting event in the U.Miocene (?) which brought the Walash Group on top of the Naupordan Group.
