Abstract EN
An experiment was conducted during 1988 and 1990 to investigate the effect of three seedling sizes (less than 5; 5 to 8 and greater than 8 true leaves) and three plant spacings (20, 30 and 40 cm apart) pn earliness ang yield Of tomato cv.
Monte Carlo.
Results shoycdthat transplanti_ng large seedling produced the highest ear- ly yield percentage and early yield components.
Planting at 40 cm apart produced the highest plant total yield and lowest plastic houseareå yield.
Transplanting seedlings of 5 to 8 true leaves at 20 cm produced maximum plastic house yie!d, whereas, transplanting the same sizeat 40 cm produced maximum plant total yield components.
