Abstract EN

Plants of Glycine max cultivar Clark were inoculated with Rhizobium leguminosarum strain 1577.

Part of the innoeulated plants were sprayed with G A3, IAA, or kinetin.

The inoculated plants sprayed with the hormones showed an increase in the activities of the amylase in the mature seeds.

The electrophoretic pattern of the water soluble proteins of the seeds of the inoculated plants showed ٤٧١ increase in the quantity of these proteins.

This increase was suppressed in the seeds of the inoculated plants sprayed with GA3, while it was enhanced in the seeds of the inocu-lated plants sprayed with either IAA or kinetin.

The electrophoretic patterns of the storage seed proteins of the inoculated plants showed an increase in the intensity of the polypeptides with mO" lecular weight42 and 24 kilo dalton.

However while spraying of the inoculated plants with either G A3 or IAA suppressed the accumulation of these polypeptides, the inoculated plants sprayed with kinetin enhanced their accumulation.

It can be concluded that these hormones had a regulato-ry effect on expression of genes which code for some of soybean seed proteins.
