Metal complexes of3-chloro (methyl)‎-4h pyrido (1, 2-a)‎ pyrimidin-4-one derivatives part II. platinume (II)‎ and palladium (II)‎ complexes

The reactions of the multidentate coordination ligands 3-chloro (or 3-methyl) - 4H-pyrido 11, 2-a) pyripiidin -4- one derivatives with the two complexes cis-[Pt (DMSO)2 Cl2] and trans- [Pd (DMSO}2 C12] and the bridge complex |Pt ('C2II4) C12]2 have been described.

The new complexes obtained, which might have some biological activity, have been characterized on the basis of their CUN elemental analysis, I.

The spectral data showed that the iwo types of complexes, [ML2 (DMSO) C]+C1' ami [PtL (C2H4) CI2], where M=Pt or Pd and L= the pyrimidin ligands, were obtained.

The type and nature of interaction between this type of ligands and the metal are also given and discussed.
