Abstract EN
The process of conversion of an analogue signal into a digital form, known as a delta-modulation system, is described.
This modulator with differ-ent input signal amplitudes and frequencies is examined.
The output signal of the modulator is processed using the finite impulse response low-pass digital filter- This filter is realised as the d^ta-modulation filter.
Through a proper use of a Hamming window, approximate relationships are established among the coefficients of the finite impulse response filter.
This appeared when the effect of a Hamming window on the filter coefficients is investigated, and a comparison with a filter without a window technique is presented.
An examination of the linear phase finite impulse response filter, with an even impulse response duration, has shown that the window technique gives additional flexibility to the general filter design problem; in particular the filler frequency response errors due to coefficient quantization.
Using sim-pie software, the quantization of noise is analyzed and the results indicated that the Hamming window has improved the signal-to-noise ratio.
