Abstract EN

A model of heat transfer by conduction, convection, and radiatin in a horizontal chanel is presented.

The configuration is considered when there is an axial tempera¬ture variation of the form T(x,y) = T(y)+tx/H T(y) The governing differential equations have been formulated and a numerical tech¬nique is adopted for the solution using an IMSL routine on a Honeywell Bull main¬frame computer.

The results indicated that the effects of bouyancy forces have sig¬nificant contribution to the field profiles.
