Abstract EN
The experimental resuits described hdfe are concerned with a nominally two-dimensional, incompressible^ turbulent boundary layer separation induced by the application of freestream adverse pressure gradient over a flat surface.
Pulsed wire measurements of mean and fluctuating velocity profiles, wall shear stress, and fraction of time that the flow moves downstream were performed along the working section surface of a specially-designed boundary-layer wind tunnel.
The results demonstrate the main features of a separating turbulent boundary layer and confirm the achievement of flow separation near the trailing edge of the test section surface.
Comparisons with other recently published data are included where appropriate, from which it is shown that the present flow possessed comparable characteristics with those developed by other investigators
