Abstract EN
This paper presents an improved second order load flow method fn rectangular cordinates.
The method is distinctly superior to the existing second order method from the point of view of both memory requirements and speed.
Further, the memory requirements of the proposed method is comparable to that of the Fast-Decoupled (FD) method.
The proposed method would be considerably faster than the Fast Decoupled method for a number of systems for which the FD method requires a large number of intentions to converge.
The proposed method is highly reliable and it gives solutions for a number of systems for which the FD method fails.
The proposed method needs only arm unified Jacobian matrix compared to the: two like matrices B' and B" in the FD method.
