The photodetachment cross-section of the iron anion t Fe", for photons having energies near | threshold is calculated using the zero-core-contribution {ZCQ model.

The results show fairly good agreement with the Winger threshold law for the strongest transition, and significant deviation for the total cross-section due to all transitions.
