A simple, sensitive and rapid method using differential pulse poiarogmphy is described for the determination of some platinum-phosphine complexes of the genera/ formula cis- or trans- [Pt (R3P)2X2], where R3 = Et3 ,Bu" ,Cyc3 , Ph3 ,Msa Ph andX = Cl, Na ,C9H6CH2, 1/2CZ H4 in dimethyl sulphoxhje (DMSO) for the fire! time.
The experimental detection limit was found to be 0.99x10* M the correlation coefficients of least-square plots are better than 0.99.
The mechanisms for the polarographic reduction of the intended complexes have been suggested.
