In this paper, we present a design methodology of a motor structure with coiled rotor based on the setting in equivalence of this structure and a motor structure with permanent magnets.
Our choice is oriented toward the structure with coiled rotor, since it offers the advantages of a variable excitation and a cost less elevated in relation to the structure of motor with permanent magnets.
The gait of design rests on the development of an analytic model sizing the two structures of motor and producing data of manufacture quickly and without iterations.
Finally, this model putting in equivalence these two structures of motors is validated by the finite element method.
