Abstract EN

This paper deals with the design of a Fractional-order proportional-integral-derivative (FOPID) by using the different approximation methods, namely : Oustaloup, Matsuda, Carlson, for a class of MIMO fractional-order systems.

A comparative study between the FOPID implemented via the approximation methods above cited and the classical PID is carried out.

In addition, the results of a numerical simulation of a synchronous machine are presented.

From this synthesis of controllers, we conclude that FOPID controllers are more efficient than PID in terms of degree of stability.
