Abstract EN

Thermal stabilities and kinetics of degradation of poly (urethane-urea-imide) (PUUI) block copolymers have been studied by thermogravimetric methods.

The kinetic parameters E and A were determined and the results are discussed.

It was found that the thermal stabilities of the investigated copolymer* are higher than that of the polyurethane prepared from the toulene diisocyanate, poly (oxytet-ramethylene) and 1,4-butanediol.

It was also found that the stabilities of the copolymers depend on the nature of the diamine used in the synthesis or these copolymers.

The copolymers prepared from aromatic diamines have better thermal stabilities than those prepared from aliphatic diamines.
