Abstract EN

The austenile grain growth in ■ weld HAZ has been studied for C-Mn, C-Mn-AI-Nb and C-Mn-AI-Nb-Ti steels.

It was found that austenite grain growth during welding at temperature of 1150 °C can be controlled in the Nb/Ti containing steel only, by the fine dispersion of TiN particles.

At temperature of 1400 ”C, precipitates particles start to coalesccncc and they loose their pinning effect.
