Abstract EN

This study is indexed under the prescriptive and situational educational studies required for the educational planning steps on the regional level.

The purpose of this research is to study the educational movement in the North-Western Region during the period of the Third National Development Plan (1400-1405 A.H.).

It studies the public education (first* and second -level’'*) affiliated to the Ministry of Education and six sub-regions: Madinah Munawwarah, Tabouk, Hayel, Al’ula, Yanbu', Jouf.

The study includes four parts.

The first one presents an introduction, the problem, objectives, hypotheses, and methodology.

The second and third parts are devoted to the study and the analysis of the educational movement in the first and second-level of public education.

The study of educational movement during the Third National Development Plan (1400-1405 A.H.) was viewed from the main perspectives: stu-dent-enrollment, new entrants, and number of teachers.

To analyze such perspectives, some statistical and mathematical indicators in educational planning were estimated for both the first and second-level of education.

The fourth part presents the findings and recommendations of the study.
