Abstract EN

The Sidarah granitic Pluton (Latitude 24°10'N and Longitude 39°12'E) is a mass of monzogranite.

biotite monzogranite.

syenogranite and granodiorite.

It is intruded into a country rock made up mainly of metavolcanics, metasediments and diorite of the Hulayfah and Al-Madinah Groups.

No sharp contacts exist between the different types of granite.

The Sidarah granite shows calc-alkaline affinity, and is an S-type granite, but with some features of the 1-type.

Moreover, it is orogenic.

and was generated under syncollision to late orogenic environments.

It is suggested that it was developed through the partial melting of crustal material after the thic- kening of the crust following -sland arc accretion.
