Abstract EN

This study aims to shed light on the nature of the Palestinian National leadership, pre and during the British Occupation on Palestine.

It was predominantly a traditional leadership that consisted of the sons of the feudal families who were in the sunjuqs and nawahyi of Palestine during the Ottoman era, and had a high education in Egypt, Istanbul and other places.

The study begins with a theoretical framework, which explains the nature and role of this leadership in the Palestinian National Movement.

The study takes Moain Al-Madi, who came from a feudal family, as a model who participated strongly in the National Arabic Movement then in the National Palestinian Movement for half a century.

The study deals shortly with the Moain's political activity in the National Arabic Movement in the late of the Ottoman era, with special focus on his political endeavors during the British Occupation when he was chosen in the executive committee under the leadership of Mosa Kathm Al-Huseini , who lead the National activities during the second and third decades of the twentieth century.

Moain continued his political struggle until the end of the British Occupation on Palestine under which he suffered from persecution and exile.
