Abstract EN

The Compensational Grammar restores the grammatical positions with the apparent and implicit parsing indications within the lingual purposeful and implied speech.

In this case, the exact meaning rises perfectly when properly represented, as in the case of metaphor.

Herein, the grammar controls the speech by filling some semantic blanks in order to show how speech enjoys all the elements needed in its surface structure.

This is exemplified in the case of showing the verb, the doer, and the receiver of an action, the subject and the object, and other elements, without any distinction between a real speech and a metaphorical speech.

For instance, in the following sentences: -Zaid smiled.

-The Sea smiled.

Here, the two sentences are subject sentences molded in a one grammatical image that shows them to be equal; each having a subject and verb.

However, in the implied speech they are not, for the “Sea” in the second sentence does not fit as an active real doer for the implementation of the verb "smile"; this is why the rhetorical analysis restores the deleted implied 'verb' item in metaphor in the process of semantic restoration, and it lets the discourse flow on the basis of the similarities relationship using the context-based-meaning strategy reaching to the use of a visible implied grammatical position for a specific purpose.

This is why this research seeks to elucidate the role of the compensational parsing in the semantic exclusively implied in the metaphor.

Accordingly, this confirms that metaphorical implication is not an apparent grammatical structure, but a cognitive implicit structure, that surpasses and goes beyond grammatical safety; and apparently, when the reader realizes the implicit discourse according to the semantic implications in Arabic.
