English Abstract

COMPlEX STUDY OF THE BINARY STELLAR SYSTEM HD 25811 By Ahmad Mohmmad Al-thyabat.

Master of Physics, Al al-Bayt University, ( Supervisor: Prof. Hatem Saleh Widyan and Dr.

Mashhoor Ahmad Al-Wardat).

Atmospheric modeling of the components of the stellar binary system HD25811 was used to estimate their individual physical and geometrical parameters.

The model atmospheres were constructed using a grid of Kurucz solar metalicity blanketed models, and used to compute a synthetic spectral energy distribution for each component separately, and hence for the entire system.

The entire observational spectral energy distribution of the systems was used as a reference for the comparison with the synthetic ones.

We used the feedback modi_ed parameters and iteration method to get the best _t between synthetic and observational spectral energy distributions. The input parameters of the atmospheric modeling of the individual components, which led to the best _t, represent adequately enough the parameters of the system. These parameters were derived as: Ta eff = 7000 _ 100 K, Tb eff = 6850 _ 100 K, log ga = 4:30 _ 0:08, log gb = 4:30 _ 0:09, Ra = 1:88 _ 0:12R_, Rb = 1:78 _ 0:13R_, and their spectral types were concluded as F1 & F2.

Also, a new parallax of the system was estimated as _ = 5:084 mas (d = 196:7pc).

Finally the formation and evolution of the system were discussed.
