English Abstract

In this study, aluminium nanowires were prepared using E-beam evaporation\Pressure inزection technique on Porous Anodic Alumina (PAA) as a substrate.

The (PAAs) were prepared by two-step anodization to get better pore distribution using oxalic acid.

The anodization process was carried out under different anodizing temperatures 17oC, 19oC, and 25oC.

The pore diameters were found to be (75nm), (83nm) and (103nm) at 17oC, 19oC, 25oC respectively.

The interpore distance of (PAAs) prepared were found to be (99nm), (105nm) and (111nm) at 17oC, 19oC, and 25oC respectively.

The porosity of (PAAs) increased with increasing anodizing temperature, while the pore density decreased with increasing anodizing temperature.

Also, the (PAA) thickness increased with the increasing of anodizing temperature.

The Focused Ion Beam (FIB) characterization technique was used to reveal the cross-section of (PAA) substrates.

The aluminum nanowires were then prepared using E-beam evaporation\Pressure injection technique.

The diameters of the fabricated aluminium nanowires were found to be (55nm) and (65nm) at 17oC, 19oC.
