English Abstract

Concrete is that construction material which has been increasingly implemented in most of the construction projects.

These has caused the demand for this material taken serious importance in looking either for other substituting construction materials or even reuse the demolished and wasted concrete, which means recycling the wasted and demolished concrete and reuse it again.

In Iraq, for instance, huge amounts of concrete materials are used to construct the concrete barriers for security reasons.

These barriers are then disposed away.

So the recycling of such huge quantities, such recycling would save cost of producing concrete, saving time of such production and even saving the environment for the pollution of disposed barriers. This research has set the hypothesis it is feasible of recycling the construction and demolished wasted concrete by recycling it as aggregates and reusing them in a recycled concrete products.

The research work directed to test the feasibility of producing the recycled concrete in comparison with natural concrete.

Another test were done to assess the feasibility of producing construction units from the recycled concrete and used in the construction projects.

The feasibility study included technical, economical and even environmental side. The research concluded that, it is feasible to use the recycled concrete as a construction material or for producing construction units to be used in the construction projects.
