English Abstract

The Construction companies are heavily dependent on their labors in constructing the projects.

Those labors represent large capital investment by these companies, they need a sophisticated and detailed site recording, monitoring, and control system to assist the project management in managing labor productivity.

For this reason, the aim of this research could clearly be understood through the title; “Developing Concreting Labor Productivity Index for effective Incentive Scheme on Construction Site”.

The research hypothesis has been set as; “There is a need to develop productivity indices for effective incentive scheme in Jordan construction industry".

According to this hypothesis, the research objective is to propose a site management system to construction labors.

Field survey has been conducted to evaluate the current management system which is applied on construction project site. A suggested site management system is created to record, monitor, and control labor site productivity in Jordan.

The research concluded that there is no standard definition of productivity and it is often misunderstood; even though, several studies were performed to identify the factors affecting productivity, but none for how to improve it. Motivation and incentives are affecting factors on construction project site productivity, and the evaluation of the proposed system has proved that the system will assist in improving labor site productivity in construction projects.
